Applications of the DIY Multimedia Poster free

Below you will find alternative applications of the iPoster: (i=interactive)

Type I iPoster:(Recomended)
This would be an iPoster with an electronic picture frame being the screen widely available in the market. These types of screens allow you to upload images (.jpg format) with the more expensive ones allowing you
to upload video files (.mpeg format). There is no need of a computer as they have their own software for slideshow presentations. You can configure the time of the images to be illustrated. Some of them do not need a power supply although the better ones do require it. This means that you have to contact the conference organiser inorder to provide you with a power supply. Do not forget that you will need a power electricity cable of at least 50 meters. This is the cheepst and most convinient option with relatively good results.

Type II iPoster:
The Type II iPoster uses a conventional PC monitor to be the screen of your iPoster. This requires either a PC or a laptop to be connected to the monitor as well as a power cable with at least 2 plugs. The advantages of the Type II iPoster include the use of microsoft power point, flash, video and many other file formats for your scrolling images and videos. You can create a space behind your poster so that your laptop is not visible. A mouse can be used to increase interactivity. We recommend the presentation to be in an internet explorer format so that it can be user friendly.
Type III iPoster:
The Type III iPoster uses a touch screen PC monitor to be the screen. This requires either a PC or a laptop to be connected to the monitor as well as a power cable with at least 2 plugs. The advantages of the Type III are the same as for the Type II iFrame with the additional ability of the audience to be able to navigate easily through different types of files hence increasing interactivity. You can create a space behind your poster so that your laptop is not visible. We recommend the presentation to be in an internet explorer format including large "Forward", "Back" or "Start' and "Stop" icons to make it even more user friendly.
